So yesterday was a good day. I was in the lounge at Park Hall with Ashleigh, Kyle, David, Dom, Alex, Ingrid, and... Benita? I've never met that last girl before. Anyway, it was really fun! We played a bunch of games, such as Catchphrase (one of my favorite games, btw), and some other games that really pissed me off. Umbrella, Black Magic, and Don't-get-me-started-on-the-nameless-card-game.
I wasn't sincerely angry of course, but the purpose of these games was to completely fool and/or confuse the player who doesn't know "how the game works". Its one of those games that you can't play if everyone knows how. There needs to be at least one person to fool. I mean they were fun and the secrets behind the rules were simple enough, but I never caught on during gameplay! I always had to have someone tell me, and I even looked up one of the games online once to find out what was going on. And each time I found out the underlying secret, I felt like such a little idiot ;p
Then, there was the "Face Your Fears" challenge. I don't know if anyone else has heard about it (I know I never had) but basically you're on your knees, hands behind your back, you arch your back, and fall forward in an attempt to roll on your stomach, like a rocking chair is what I first thought of. If you mess up, you basically loose your front teeth. Well I was able to do it pretty successfully I think. Dom recorded everyone who tried, and we all made equal fools of ourselves but it was fun. I was the only girl who tried. Yeah, girl power~!
Anyway, I did hit my chin on the carpet a little bit, but it only felt like a little carpet burn. What really hurt was my crotch area. I don't even know why considering the fact that I'm female. But it was basically like slamming yourself into the ground, and I guess I must be awkward or something because I don't know how to explain this. Moving on.
Then, there was Late Night, which was surprisingly fun this week. They had those big trampoline-houses that you jump around inside of. I felt like such a little kid. There was cold pizza upstairs and it was really awful. The health department ought to stop obsessing over the little things that the dining facilities aren't doing (no signs telling employees to wash hands? Critical violation!!), and pay a visit to Late Night. I don't actually mean that. The Health Department is absolutely brutal and I kind of hate them, but I'm tired of cold food. Even if it is free. So I washed down that awful pizza with a delicious peach snow-cone and and it was absolutely fantastic.
So it turns out I was able to post-pone by Astro test until tomorrow night. The library opened up their InQuisit lab for this week (supposedly it was closed?), so a ton of different spaces opened up that I was able to squeeze into. Thank goodness, too. I mean I think I'm prepared for the most part, but these tests really freak me out. I need to do well on it, too. My future in the department of journalism depends upon it :(
Kara finally got back to me today! I was really worried that they wound up deciding that I'm too much of a stranger, and would rather room with someone else. But she just explained to me that she never checked her phone, blah blah blah, no big deal kind of stuff. Anyway, Katie is a little too hesitant about signing the lease, so we've decided to go ahead and look at some more apartments this week so that we've actually got something to compare our first choice to. Kara and I are a little bummed that we won't be saving all the money (since we are working women!), but in the long run we think its still a good idea to look into some more options before jumping into something. Either way, I am definitely excited about it. We plan to all get together sometime this week so we can get to know each other and all that good stuff. They seem really nice, so I hope it works out!

Don't worry, those mind games took me forever to figure out too. At least you did what no one else could, "face yo fear"!
