(4) Strangers

So I guess I've found some potential room mates for an apartment next year! What a twist of luck..!
I went over to Hot Heads in Muncie to get my haircut and the stylist (Kara) and myself were making small talk. The usual. Then the subject of where I was living came up. I told her that I live in Lafollette, and that I was going to wind up there again next semester since I couldn't find any potential room mates this year for an apartment. Suddenly, she tells me that her friend Katie and herself have a three-bedroom apartment that they've seriously been looking into, but haven't been able to find a third girl to move in with them.
Well I don't want to bore you with the details, but we took it from there and after class tomorrow, we're meeting up for lunch/visiting the apartment so I can decide if I like it and would be interested in moving in with them.

Now I know that Kara and Katie are practically strangers, but Kara came off as a pretty good person. And yes, its probably too soon to judge character, but by moving into an apartment I'll be saving a lot of money in comparison with dorms. By which I mean a few thousand dollars. I'll be around them for awhile tomorrow, so I'll try to see if I can come up with a little better idea of how responsible they are, if they're honest, trustworthy, etc. Plus, I like to think that I'm easy to get along with. It's pretty difficult to make me angry, and I certainly don't go looking for drama.
I was pretty excited about Shively Hall, but thats only because it was the only dorm that actually appealed to me since I had to choose from all the halls on campus. I've actually wanted an apartment, but like I said earlier. No potential roommates.

The one thing that really caught my interest is that Kara laid it out right away that she and Katie aren't into parties. That is exactly what I'm looking for. The last thing I want is to have to come home to a party every night, deal with people trashing the place (or stealing things-possibly my things) or if cops ever come knocking on our door. So thats a big plus in my books.

Like I said, I can't make too many assumptions right now, but I'm really excited about this. What a twist of luck! I'm excited for tomorrow... I really hope this works out.

Thats all I've got right now. I just finished an Astro assignment that took entirely too long, so I'm off to bed.
